Family Reunion with Kids at Northern Outdoors
Last weekend we gathered my husband’s family at Northern Outdoors and stayed in the Timberdoodle Condo attached to the main lodge. Our group included kids ranging from ages 3 to 11, their parents, and grandparents. There were activities for everyone including the hot tub, pool, fishing, and the ever famous arcade. We also spent time on the Kennebec River on our paddle board, boogie boards and raft.
Adults enjoyed the fresh brews and debated about their favorite one being the Big Mama Blueberry Ale or the new Northbound Pale Ale. We brought lots of food to cook at the condo but we still snuck to the deck to eat the grass fed burgers and play some rounds of corn hole.
I have worked at Northern Outdoors for 22 years as a whitewater guide. This was the first time I spent an entire weekend as a guest with our family at N. O. We all got to experience the magic of the area, balanced with adventure and relaxation.
