The Forks Area Scenic Trail: Running, Biking, Hiking
The Forks Area Scenic Trail, along the Kennebec River, is ideal for running, biking, or hiking with dogs and kids.
The Appalachian Trail connects our resort in The Forks, Maine and our Katahdin Adventure Base Camp next to Baxter State Park. Both locations feature some of Maine’s best hiking trails: Mt Katahdin (Maine’s highest mountain,) Moxie Falls (Maine’s tallest waterfall,) Mt Kineo on Moosehead Lake (Maine’s largest lake.) Below are our latest hikes, your hiking trip reports and a recreation map for The Forks showing hiking trailheads. Post your Maine hiking photos with #NorthernOutdoors to be featured in our taproom. Happy Trails!
