Perfect Weekend!
We drove over 4 hours to get to Northern Outdoors (much more with traffic), and would do it again in a heartbeat! Our entire experience was outstanding.
The cozy cabin was clean and comfortable and had charming furnishings. The lodge had very friendly and helpful staff and had every amenity to enhance a getaway including a pool, hot tub, arcade game area, pool table, corn hole area, and large patio.
The in-house brewery has a fabulous selection and the beers very delicious. The menu was equally unique and appealing and the food we got was incredible; we even asked to purchase some of their original wing/dipping sauces which sadly are not available for retail sale yet. In the later evening hours they had a fun band in the lodge.
We went on a whitewater rafting excursion, and it was our first time with this experience. I cannot possible say enough about what a great time we had! The logistics were very well communicated and organized, the guides and other staff were all energetic, fun, and completely delightful (especially our guide, Tony).
Every part of the adventure couldn’t have been better.They explained every step to us and gave us all of the right tips and equipment to prepare us for a safe and fun experience. We had the perfect combination of exciting rapids and calm floating on the river and even stopped to see a gorgeous waterfall. They prepared us a hot and fresh grilled lunch on the side of the river which was outstanding and the process was impressively efficient. When we returned to the lodge they showed a very entertaining slideshow and video of the day.
I would and will recommend Northern Outdoors for years to come, and we will plan another visit as soon as possible.
