We had a lovely stay. The cabin was clean and comfortable, the outdoor hottub very welcome after our hike, and the food and beer delicious, as always. We will try to go every autumn!

Stopped for lunch to and from Quebec. Pulled pork sandwich was excellent, fries were superior. Able to get GF bun for hamburger. Server coping cheerfully with large crowd. Will plan future trips to be sure we are here at mealtime!!!

Great three night staying in the tent/cabins by the river. Went rafting down the Kenny Beck River with our river guide Erik who did an exceptional job! The entire crew was amazing and lunch on the river was absolutely top-notch.I will definitely be coming back for rafting and other activities.

This really is the best spot in West Forks for an all around great family vacation!Northern Outdoors has it all, beautiful cabins, great food, hot tub, pool, onsite brewery, lakeside hangouts, and PLENTY of outdoor activities on the property for all ages - it truly is a well rounded outfitter and resort for the whole family.We took a crew rafting on the Kennebec with Northern Outdoor’s 2023 Rookie Guide of the Year, Matt Gambino, and it was phenomenal. Very professional and loads of fun!My favorite piece about this outfitter is that they offer whitewater rafting (for 3 different rivers) and powersport rentals with access to the trail system within walking distance of their cabins - it’s perfect.The facility is clean, the staff morale is high and the fun that can be had at Northern Outdoors is unlimited.

Beautiful resort with all the extras right on site. I highly recommend whitewater rafting. They have a very professional guide staff with tons of knowledge about the river. Matt Gambino was our guide and did a fantastic job. Everyone was welcoming, and the food was fantastic. They even have their own brewery.

I've stayed in the North Woods cabins onsite at Northern Outdoors twice now and cannot recommend them highly enough. I've also stayed in the Lodgominiums. Super comfortable, full of necessary overnight amenities, and within walking distance to the brewpub, hot tub, nature walks, rafting and other nature-based activities are a short drive away. I've been impressed with this operation since I first discovered it and highly recommend it to families, solo travelers, big or small groups. A great getaway spot in the woods of Maine where you can find like-minded adventurers!

Mat Gamino was my guide and he was so helpful kind and very funny! Definitely a great river, great guides, great service. And when we got back there was a hot tub and warm food waiting for us. Gambino was amazing company and I would highly recommend him if you are thinking of coming (you definitely should).

We had a really fun time on a short stay for a rafting trip on Labor Day. We stayed in the 2-person canvas tents, which were reasonably priced and comfortable, although very basic. The restaurant had some great comfort food, such as buffalo chicken mac and cheese. The rafting trip was very well organized, safe, and really fun. Our guide, Brinna, had the right mix of conversation, knowledge of the Kennebec River and other rivers where they operate, taking charge at the right times to get us to row, and cracking a few camp-style jokes to lighten the mood. Halfway down the river, lunch at a riverside beach was delicious and filling - there was more than enough to satisfy even the deepest hunger. I would recommended staying for at least a couple of nights and scheduling more than one activity (e.g. hiking, ATVs, river rafting), as there is so much to do.

We came up here for a work trip to stay in the cabins and go white water rafting. We all had an absolutely incredible time! Ashley was our raft guide and she was great. She kept the energy high even when it poured through lunch and the second half of the day. The food by the river was delicious and the hot chocolate was the perfect beverage to warm up by the fire with. The slide show at the end with Ashley was hilarious. Definitely a trip to remember!

We traveled from south Florida to Boston to you just to raft down the river. Will certainly tell others about our trip and encourage them to put you on their list!

The team was great. My son had a summer class final exam to take and they found him a quite spot to take the exam. They went out of their way.

We had a great experience staying in the lodge! We loved the staff and the whitewater rafting with our guide Fields! What a great experience for all ages! We loved the food 😋 too!! Staff was friendly and down to earth!

We can't say enough great things about our experience here. Customer service is a top priority. Everyone we interacted with was kind and helpful. We spent one day on the Kennebec River and had THE BEST guide. Thank you, Ashley for making the ride enjoyable and safe for all of us. You are truly great at what you do.We would absolutely recommend this facility to our friends and family.
